Power & Elec Zambia 2026: Zambia's Biggest Power and Solar Expo

Power & Elec Zambia is the largest international exhibition in Zambia dedicated to power, energy, electrical, electronics, renewable, solar and telecommunications. The second edition runs from 28 to 30 October 2026 at the New Government Complex Conference Centre on Independence Avenue, Lusaka.

Why the timing matters

Zambia's demand for batteries and inverters is high and growing, driven by load shedding and the cost of grid connection for households and small businesses. Zambia is also endowed with biomass, mini-hydro, geothermal, solar and wind resources, and solar viability in particular is improving fast.

The organisers position the show as a gateway into the South-Central African market rather than a domestic trade fair — the same buyers who attend in Lusaka also source for Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and the DRC.

Distributors and importers: this is where you meet the manufacturers directly rather than through a local agent. China, Tanzania, India and Turkey are the largest sources of wire and cable imports into Zambia, and all are represented.

Contractors and installers: bring your specification list. The transformers, switchgear and cable categories are where project pricing comes from.

Corporate facility managers: the UPS, inverter and backup power aisles will save you weeks of supplier research.

The Zambia Pharma & Healthcare Expo occupies the same 28–30 October window in Lusaka. If your team covers both, plan one trip rather than two — but check the hall allocations on the day, because they run on separate exhibition schedules.

Independence Avenue is central, but the Government Complex access is controlled. Arrive before 09:00 on day one — registration queues at government-complex venues in Lusaka build faster than at private conference centres.
