Africa Tech-Xpo 2026 is the biggest technology gathering on the Zambian calendar, and this year it changes scale. On 26 and 27 October 2026, at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, what was Zambia Tech-Xpo becomes a pan-African platform.
Dates and venue
- Dates: 26–27 October 2026
- Venue: Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Lusaka
- Theme: Innovation, Infrastructure & Africa's Next Economy
- Format: Exhibition, conference programme, investor meetings
What changed this year
Zambia Tech-Xpo ran for four years and consistently drew more than 4,000 delegates, 120 exhibitors and over 100 speakers. The organisers are framing the 2026 edition as a scale change rather than a rebrand — the ambition is participation from Southern, East, West and Northern Africa, not just Zambia.
That distinction matters if you are an exhibitor or sponsor. Continental attendance changes who you meet on the floor and which investors take your meetings.
Programme themes
The published agenda covers the areas currently deciding where African capital goes:
- Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
- Fintech and digital financial services
- Digital infrastructure and connectivity
- Cybersecurity
- E-commerce and digital trade
- Agritech and climate technology
- Mining and energy technology
- Digital skills and startup growth
Who is expected
Organisers list CEOs and senior executives, technology and ICT leaders, banks and financial institutions, fintechs, startups, SMEs, investors, government representatives and regulators, telecom operators, development organisations and technology professionals — from Zambia and across the continent.
Who should attend
If you are a startup: this is the room where investors are looking for pre-scale companies. Book meetings before you arrive; the exhibition floor is not where funding conversations happen.
If you are a corporate IT buyer: the fintech, payments and infrastructure tracks are the highest-value days.
If you are a government body or regulator: the policy alignment sessions are where the compliance roadmap gets set for the next cycle.
If you are a student: the digital skills sessions are free to attend and run alongside the main programme.
Planning your visit
Mulungushi is on the edge of central Lusaka with gardens and parking on site, but it fills up between 08:00 and 09:00 on both days. If you are not staying within 15 minutes of the venue, plan for the 07:00 traffic window — the Cairo Road and Great East Road approaches choke badly during conference hours.
Registration, partnership and exhibition enquiries go through info@africatechxpo.com or +260 779 384 884.
